LUM4LIFE is dream come true for our family.
We are siblings Kim, Keith, Kelvin and Jackie Jacobs and we are enrolled members of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. Our people are from the Fairmont area. Our Mother is Martha Morgan Jacobs and our father is the late Calvin “Jack” Jacobs. The inspiration of LUM4LIFE was originally envisioned by Kelvin Jacobs, the youngest and wittiest of the Jacobs. It has been a 7 year journey to bring the vision to creation. LUM4LIFE was granted a federal trademark registration in 2013.
We believe that LUM4LIFE represents the core of who we are as Lumbee people. We have overcome so many adversities in our collective history, but we have persevered. Likewise, as individuals, we may have known enormous heartbreak, heartache or strife, but we have always known a greater love. We believe it is that love that permeates the spirit of our people. It is holding onto the faith that God is always there, no matter the circumstances. The company is founded in honor of our brother Kent Jacobs who was reported missing on March 10, 2002 and was declared legally deceased in 2012 after 10 1/2 years. Kent’s favorite clothing was his Harley Davidson t-shirts. We wanted to design a t-shirt and accessories company that would embody the spirit of his passion and love and we think we have captured that with LUM4LIFE.We hope you enjoy all the offerings and we are very open to hearing from you about the products. We will be rolling out a variety of new and limited edition products in the future, so please give us your name and email if you’d like to be on our VIP list to receive that information.
LUM4LIFE stands for our heritage, rich in honor and resolve. We wear the LUM4LIFE brand with pride and we hope you will do the same. We know in our hearts that you are a LUM4LIFE!!
